The programme of Matera 2019 – European Capital of Culture

On September 21st the official program for the celebration of Matera 2019 was disclosed: it includes events from the inauguration ceremony, on January 19th 2019, until December 19th of the same year. The program, whose details they are still planning, includes more than 300 cultural events: theatrical performances, live music concerts, meetings and so on. The whole local community is involved in the creation and realization of the cultural program: it will be a very intense year to be lived with great participation by citizens and visitors.
More than 700 thousands of guests are expected to visit Matera during the next year. We are arranging our touristic hospitality in order to satisfy needs and requests and to give them a great accommodation and lots of services.
